Dan left this morning at 4:30 and I won't see him again until tomorrow afternoon around five. This happens every 8 days. Being stationed on the "boat" is a much different experience for us. No more coming home for lunch and getting home around 2.
He is also using his advanced training in Avionics to complete exciting tasks such as "preparing areas to paint". Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be as fulfilled with this as other assignments he has had...hmm. Weird.
I guess my negativity is due to the gloomy cloudy day outside. So, on a positive note it is cool and comfortable instead of the blazing heat.
I miss the kids. I miss my husband. On the bright side, I will not have to cook for the next 36 hours. I am going to lay in bed and watch episodes of Dollhouse for hours. I may eat frosting for dinner. That is all. Cass out.

My Husband Is Cheating on Me...With His New Droid
So, today the FedEx man brought hubby a new gadget called The Droid. I have no idea what it all does but he has been locked in his office with it for a while now and no one is packing. What the hell? Does that mean I have to figure out what to put in these boxes myself?
I actually have managed to fill three boxes...in three hours. At this rate I will be ready to leave in three months. Better step it up. In the meantime, enjoy ine of my favorite videos.

PCS Procrastination 101
Hello all and welcome to my very first post as a sorta-new (18 months) Navy wife. As we "speak", my sainted and unbelievably good husband is packing up the office and putting the boys to bed. We are slated to PCS cross country to Washington state in 8 days.
As for me, I haven't packed a thing. I am sitting on a pile of yet to be built cardboard boxes and trying to create a new blog! Makes perfect sense to take on a new project when the mutilated remains of so many others surrounds me in huge mounds of failed possessions that are headed to Goodwill.
So, this introductory test post will be short and sweet. Hi! My name is Cassandra and I am doing my second cross country DITY move in 8 months. I absolutely LOVE the fact that the Navy is going to pay us to do something I always loved doing! Moving around and seeing new places!!
Apparently the Xanax has kicked in...I'll check back in with real feelings tomorrow.
